What's The Need?
The Look of Love specializes in providing free ongoing, multicultural hair care and salon services for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, and homeless youth in search of employment. We also provide free multicultural hair care training for foster parents and caregivers of foster youth.
As a hair care and salon program for foster children and homeless youth, our primary goal is to provide free training and hair care services to children and youth in need. We strive to build self-esteem, provide love and encouragement, and despite the pains of the past, inspire the children to pursue their dreams.
Living in our world, we are constantly reminded of the importance of appearance, and the impact that appearance plays on a person’s self-esteem, how others judge us, and our opportunities to excel. Because many children already come from broken and abusive homes, their spirits are already wounded. That is why it is so crucial that our organization partners with members of our community like you to help bring much needed support and services to vulnerable children and youth in need.
